For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

At Christmas time, all the carols about peace and joy only have glorious meaning if you understand the greatest news of all: that God has provided a way of escape from hell and assurance of eternity in heaven with Christ.  This is why, on the cross of calvary, the sinless King carried our sins.  The Perfect ga.ve His life for the imperfect.  The innocent died a criminal’s death, in order to satisfy the justice of God.

Jesus Christ is the only perfect man who died to give eternal life to those who believe in Him.  He is the only man who rose from the dead never to die again.  And he did all this because He loves you so deeply.  You are not here by coincidence; you are alive today because of His sovereign hand.  You are reading this right now because God’s message to you  is, “I love you. I died for you. Come to me.”

Eternal life is the greatest gift of all.  It’s why Jesus came and paid the ultimate price.  Have you received this free gift from the Lord Jesus?  Are you completely His?  As He gave His whole life to you, have you given your whole life to Him?
